Central Emergency Services - Prepared for the worst, providing the best

At approx. 10:30 PM, Monday November 13th, 2006 C.E.S. received a call reporting a possible structure fire at 43460 Ross Road, on the shore of Sport Lake. As the first units arrived they observed heavy smoke blowing across Ross Rd. Within minutes the fire vented through the front of the home, being pushed by 40+ mph winds coming off of the lake.

C.E.S. responded with Engine One, Tanker One, Medic One, Tanker Three, Tanker Four, Chief One, Chief Two, Chaplain One, 904 (the department Safety Officer, John Evans), and numerous on-call Firefighters. Approx. 62,000 gallons of water were used to bring the fire under control, according to Fire Marshal Gary Hale.
